UK adds Uzbek and Kazakh companies to sanctions list

7423On November 7, the British government placed several companies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on its updated sanctions list, as reported on the UK government’s official sanctions website.
Among the sanctioned entities is Uzstanex LLP, part of the StanexGroup holding that operates across CIS countries. The company specializes in the sale and servicing of machine tools in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. The UK government stated that Uzstanex LLP was sanctioned for activities that allegedly contribute to destabilizing Ukraine, undermining its territorial integrity, or supporting such actions through financial services, funds, goods, or technology.
Additionally, Kazakh companies CPS Energy LLP, TOO TawKZ, and Rabadaziya LLP have been sanctioned on similar grounds.
Previously, the U.S. also sanctioned two Uzbek companies, Uzstanex and The Elite Investment Group. According to Uzbekistan’s Unified State Register of Trade Organizations, Uzstanex was established in July 2018 and is engaged in the wholesale trade of machine tools. The company, located in Tashkent’s Yashnabad district, has an authorized capital of 65 million sums. Its sole founder is Vasiliy Vitalevich Abramov, and Dmitriy Aleksandrovich Boysov serves as the director.
