Where do Uzbeks travel most for tourism?

Citizens of Uzbekistan primarily travel to Kyrgyzstan for tourism. This was reported by the press service of the Statistics Agency.

From January to July 2024, a total of 3.4 million Uzbeks traveled abroad for tourism, an increase of 890,500 people or 35.7% compared to the same period last year.

The distribution of Uzbek tourists abroad from January to July this year is as follows:

  • Kyrgyz Republic: 1.6 million people
  • Tajikistan: 676,400 people
  • Kazakhstan: 526,400 people
  • Russia: 159,700 people
  • Turkey: 123,000 people
  • Saudi Arabia: 106,500 people
  • UAE: 70,600 people
  • Egypt: 22,200 people
  • Kuwait: 16,700 people
  • South Korea: 12,300 people
  • Other countries: 91,500 people

It should be noted that in the first half of this year, the largest number of visitors to Uzbekistan came from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for tourism purposes.
