Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reaches $4.5 billion in January 2025

2139In January 2025, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover totaled $4.5 billion, marking a 7.1% increase compared to the same month last year, according to the Statistics Agency.
During this period, exports rose by 14.1% to $1.3 billion, while imports increased by 4.4% to $3.1 billion. As a result, the foreign trade deficit for the month amounted to $1.8 billion.
China remained Uzbekistan’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching $994.7 million, accounting for 22.1% of total trade. Russia ranked second with $799.1 million (17.7%), making it Uzbekistan’s main export destination. Kazakhstan followed with $313.5 million (7%), while Turkey and Germany recorded trade volumes of $212.9 million (4.7%) and $169.3 million (3.8%), respectively. Currently, Uzbekistan maintains trade relations with 154 countries.
For reference, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover stood at $59.4 billion in January-November 2024, reflecting a $2.1 billion (3.6%) increase compared to the same period in 2023.
