Kazakhstan leads as top destination for Uzbekistan’s pepper exports

In the period from January to December 2024, Uzbekistan exported a total of 6.4 thousand tons of pepper, valued at 8.9 million US dollars, according to the Statistics Agency.

The largest share of these exports went to Kazakhstan, which received 2,326 tons of pepper. This was followed by Kyrgyzstan, with 1,464 tons, and Russia, which imported 835 tons. Other countries, including Turkey (681 tons), the USA (324 tons), and smaller markets (798.3 tons), also received shipments from Uzbekistan.

In total, Uzbekistan's exports of fruits and vegetables for 2024 reached 2 million tons, valued at 1.5 billion US dollars.
