In January 2025, Uzbek citizens primarily traveled abroad to visit relatives, according to the National Statistics Committee.
It was reported that a total of 551,300 Uzbek citizens traveled internationally for tourism purposes. This figure marks an increase of 82,900 people, or 17.7%, compared to the same period last year.
The breakdown of travel purposes for Uzbek citizens in January 2025 is as follows:
- Visiting relatives: 425,839 individuals;
- Tourism: 117,199 individuals;
- Medical treatment: 4,206 individuals;
- Education: 2,975 individuals;
- Business purposes: 1,060 individuals.
In January 2025, a total of 678,700 foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes.
