Tourism surges in Uzbekistan, up 30% compared to last year

In January 2025, a total of 678,700 foreign visitors traveled to Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, according to the Statistics Agency.
This figure represents an increase of 158,500 people, or 30.5%, compared to the same period last year.
During January, the foreign tourists visiting Uzbekistan were distributed as follows:
- Kyrgyzstan: 211,262 visitors
- Tajikistan: 200,969 visitors
- Kazakhstan: 105,551 visitors
- Russia: 48,695 visitors
- Afghanistan: 42,733 visitors
- Turkmenistan: 26,154 visitors
- Turkey: 11,660 visitors
- India: 5,049 visitors
- China: 4,988 visitors
- Korea: 2,896 visitors
- Other countries: 18,718 visitors
Earlier, it was reported that in 2024, 24,545 tourists from the United States visited Uzbekistan for travel purposes.
