Residents urged to take precautions amid rainfall warning

Uzhydromet has issued an emergency alert due to expected rainfall on April 8-9, which could lead to flash floods in the mountainous and foothill regions of the country.

The following areas are identified as potentially vulnerable to flash floods:

Kashkadarya Region: Yakkabog, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, Guzar districts.

Surkhandarya Region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Altinsay, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Shorchi, Qumkorghon, Muzrobod districts.

Samarkand Region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurobod, Koshrabot, Kattakurgan, Payarik, Jomboy, Ishtikhon districts.

Jizzakh Region: Zomin, Baxmal, Gallaarol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, Yangiabad districts.

Tashkent Region: Akhangaran, Bustonlik, Parkent, Pskent, Ortachirchik, Yukorichirchik districts, as well as Angren and Almalyk cities.

Namangan Region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chartok, Chust, Namangan, Yangikurgon districts.

Fergana Region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, Besharik districts.

Andijan Region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalakuduk, Kurghontepa, Pakhtabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad, Marhamat districts, and Khanabad city.

Residents in mountainous and foothill areas, as well as drivers traveling in these regions, are urged to exercise caution and take necessary preventive measures to ensure safety.
