A man wanted in Uzbekistan was arrested in Istanbul

A 35-year-old man, who was wanted in Uzbekistan, was apprehended in Istanbul, Turkey. The General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Istanbul reported his arrest.

The individual, identified as Kholmirza Haqberdiyev, born in 1989, faced accusations of fraud. He was detained during a collaborative effort between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan. On March 12, he was repatriated to Uzbekistan under the supervision of consulate personnel.

The report advises individuals impacted by his actions to contact either the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It's worth noting that several other individuals have been arrested since the beginning of the year, including Nilufar Mirkhonova, also known as "Madame Claude" in Turkey, Rita Khalilova, wanted internationally for fraud, Fakhriddin Shakarboyev and Humoyunbek Mardonov, accused of embezzling citizens' funds, "Monya" for human trafficking, Munisakhon Alijonova, Saidumarkhon Musayev, sought by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Zokir Fayzullayev, charged with illegal dealings involving narcotics or psychotropic substances.
