Singer Shahriyor linked to drug case? Authorities respond

Reports circulated on social media claiming that rap singer Shahriyor Argonov was caught with drugs at the Sharq checkpoint in Tashkent on February 25. The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shohrukh Giyasov, has responded to the allegations.
According to the official statement, an Onix vehicle was indeed stopped at the Sharq checkpoint on February 25. However, the claim that Shahriyor was the driver of the vehicle is inaccurate.
The Internal Affairs Directorate clarified that during the inspection, drugs were discovered hidden in the clothing of the detained individual, who was subsequently taken to the Bektemir District Internal Affairs Directorate of the Federal Migration Service for further investigation.
