Javrail Shapiev misses opportunity in the fight for bronze medal

Uzbekistan's Javrail Shapiev competed for a bronze medal against American Aaron Brooks in the 86 kg weight category at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Unfortunately, Shapiev missed his chance and concluded the Olympics in 5th place.
Earlier, in the freestyle wrestling competitions, Uzbekistan's Gulomjon Abdullaev faced Kyrgyz representative Bekzat Almaz Uluu in the 57 kg weight category for a bronze medal. Abdullaev emerged victorious, securing the bronze medal for Uzbekistan.
Additionally, today, boxers Lazizbek Mullojonov and Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev will compete in the final bouts.
