Uzbek chess player Nodirbek Abdusattorov will compete against Norwegian Magnus Carlsen in the quarterfinals of the “Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Tour 2025,” hosted in Paris, France.
During the second day of the tournament on April 8, Abdusattorov defeated reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju from India and drew with Hikaru Nakamura. By the end of the preliminary round, Abdusattorov recorded five wins, three draws, and three losses, placing 5th in the tournament standings and advancing to the next stage.
