In New York, USA, yesterday, March 6, a Joint Communiqué was signed to establish diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Belize. This information was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.

Representatives Ulugbek Lapasov of Uzbekistan and Carlos Fuller of Belize signed the document on behalf of their respective governments. They expressed a desire to enhance cooperation within international bodies like the UN and its specialized agencies. The report highlighted plans to intensify mutual relations to identify areas of cooperation beneficial to both parties.

With this development, Belize, situated in Central America, becomes the 147th country to establish diplomatic ties with Uzbekistan.

It's worth noting that on March 5, another Joint Communiqué was signed in New York, this time between Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein marks the 146th country to establish diplomatic relations with Uzbekistan.
