On April 7, a tripartite memorandum of understanding aimed at attracting qualified specialists from Uzbekistan to the German labor market was signed at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Berlin. The "Dunyo" news agency reported on the event.

The signing ceremony was attended by Orif Butaev, Chairman of the Board of the Joint-Stock Commercial Bank “Microcreditbank”; Thomas Förster, Head of "International People IP GmbH & Co. KG"; Manfred Wangler, Head of the "German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation" in Uzbekistan (who joined online); and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

According to the memorandum, the German side will offer language courses and facilitate the enrollment of Uzbek specialists in dual vocational training institutions. These efforts aim to prepare candidates for employment in German enterprises operating in sectors such as gastronomy, food logistics, general logistics, and the meat processing industry.

The memorandum also outlines comprehensive support for selected candidates, including assistance with visa procedures, relocation, accommodation, employment, and registration in Germany.

Additionally, it was noted that an Inclusive Dual Education Center has been established at the Tashkent State University of Economics in cooperation with “International People IP GmbH & Co. KG” to support this initiative.

The memorandum is regarded as a practical continuation of the "Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership in the Field of Migration and Mobility" signed earlier between Uzbekistan and Germany.

It is worth recalling that earlier, Shohrukh Gulomov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, held talks with a German delegation specializing in education and migration. The parties discussed the provision of incentives for German specialists working in Uzbekistan, the recognition of Uzbek diplomas in Germany, and the inclusion of Uzbek universities and vocational colleges in the German Ministry of Education’s ANABIN database.
