On May 21, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the press service of the Uzbek head of state.
During the discussion, they addressed the further expansion of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, focusing on strengthening their comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations.
The leaders also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during previous high-level meetings and discussed plans for future bilateral events.
"Special attention was given to increasing trade volume, implementing cooperation projects involving leading enterprises, and promoting cultural and humanitarian exchange programs, including the enhancement of regional relations," the report stated.
