Consulate General of Russia is opened in Samarkand

According to the results of talks between Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev held in the Kremlin, 11 documents on cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan were signed. In particular, the heads of state adopted a joint statement on the deepening of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance relations. Additionally, the cooperation program for 2024-2025 between the ministries of foreign affairs of Russia and Uzbekistan was approved.

"An agreement was signed between the governments of the two countries for the establishment of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Samarkand," as reported by TASS.

Furthermore, documents concerning the development of relations between the ministries of science and higher education, customs administrations, railways, and several other structures were also adopted.
