Uzbekistan's wanted person detained in Russia

8783A person wanted for committing a crime in Uzbekistan and hiding has been detained in Russia. This was reported by the Bukhara Regional Department of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that N.N., a resident of the Soktari mahalla of the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region, committed a crime specified in Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (Intentional infliction of moderate bodily harm) and hid from the investigation. As a result, he was put on the wanted list by the Gijduvan district police department.
Following search operations conducted by the Bukhara regional police department, the person was detained in the Russian capital, Moscow, extradited to Uzbekistan, and placed in an investigative detention center.
It should be recalled that earlier, Azerbaijan officially extradited 30-year-old Uzbek citizen Arslan Kholmirzaev, who was wanted by the authorities in Tashkent. Arslan Kholmirzaev was on the international wanted list on charges of causing large-scale damage through fraud. He was arrested in Azerbaijan in January 2025, after which a court ruled to impose a detention order on him. The extradition was carried out under the escort of a convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
