Ozodbek Nazarbekov becomes the People's Artist in another country again

Ozodbek Nazarbekov has been awarded the title of People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan. Today, on September 5, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, signed a decree titled "On Awarding Honorary Titles of the Kyrgyz Republic."

According to the decree, two representatives from Uzbekistan in the field of culture and arts were honored with titles for their significant contributions to strengthening friendship and cooperation in culture and arts between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan:

- The Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan.
- Farangiz Mahmudova, a senior lecturer in the "Traditional Status Performance" department at the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Music Art, was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Kyrgyzstan.

Additionally, Ozodbek Nazarbekov received the Order of "Do'stlik" (Friendship) of the second degree from the Republic of Kazakhstan for his contributions to the further development of cultural relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The award was presented by Beybut Atamkulov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

For reference, in April of this year, Ozodbek Nazarbekov was honored with the title of People's Clerk of Tajikistan. In 2020, he was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist of Turkmenistan by the then-President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

It is worth noting that earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded honorary titles to two Kyrgyz artists.
