Extension of Contract Payment Period for Students in Higher Education Insitutions

The contract payment deadline for some students in Uzbekistan has been extended to the 10th of June this year, as reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.

This decision was made in response to the appeals from a majority of applicants, their parents, and the rectors of higher educational institutions.

The extended deadline applies to the following groups of students enrolled in undergraduate and master's programs:

•    Applicants who have been recommended for enrolment based on a differentiated payment contract, including a payment contract for first-year students.
•    Students on academic leave (those who have temporarily withdrawn from their studies and wish to return).
•    Reinstated students who were previously expelled but have been readmitted.

Additionally, the deadline for applicants recommended for admission to colleges and technical institutes (first-year students) has also been extended until 10th of June. This extension also considers the contract payments made after 15th of March 2023.

It is important to note that the extension of the contract payment period for students in higher levels (year 2 and above) is at the discretion of the rectors (directors) of the respective higher educational institutions.
