In the 30th round of the English Premier League, Manchester City announced its match squad for the game against Leicester City shortly before kickoff. However, Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov was notably absent from the list.
It was clarified that Khusanov has not sustained any injuries. Manager Pep Guardiola decided to rest the 21-year-old Uzbek player and preserve him for the upcoming crucial match against Manchester United.
Khusanov had previously played in the FA Cup quarterfinal match against Bournemouth, where he was subbed off at halftime after receiving significant playtime in the first half.
Manchester City’s derby clash against Manchester United is scheduled for April 6. This game is part of the Premier League’s 31st round and will be hosted at the legendary Old Trafford stadium.
