Payment deadline for university contracts in Uzbekistan extended

In the 2024/2025 academic year, the deadline for Uzbek university students to pay 50 percent of their tuition contract has been extended until December 31. This announcement was made by the State Admissions Commission.

According to the statement, the new deadline applies to undergraduate and graduate students who need to pay half of their annual tuition fees. This extension ensures that students formalize their admission by the end of the year.

The updated deadline specifically affects:

• Applicants admitted to the first year on a fee-based contract;
• Students resuming or transferring their studies;
• Applicants admitted under special quotas for youth from the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

This extension is limited to students admitted during the 2024/2025 academic year. For students beyond their first year, the payment deadline can still be extended at the discretion of the head of their university.

Previously, the State Commission had set the payment deadline as December 1, 2024. This latest extension offers students additional time to meet financial requirements and secure their place at higher education institutions.
