Mirziyoyev Expressed Condolences on the Death of Aydin Hajiyeva

7216President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences on the death of the national poet of Uzbekistan Aydin Hajiyeva. This was reported by the press secretary of the President, Sherzod Asadov.
Aydin Hajiyeva was born on 22nd April 1942, in the village of Bostan, Kyziltepa district, Navoi region. On completion of her secondary school education in this district, she studied at the Faculty of Philology of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). She has worked as a literary employee, head of the department at “Sharq Yztyziri” magazine, and later as editor-in-chief at “Gulkhan” magazine.
Aydin Hajiyeva, as a follower of the famous poetess Zulfiyakhanim, worked effectively for the Uzbek women’s magazine “Saodat” and was its editor-in-chief for many years.
Her first book of poetry, called “Shabnam” was published in 1970. During her almost sixty years of creative output, she wrote “Addresses”, “Song I love”, “Navo”,
“Khushkhabar”, “Mushfiq Anajon”, “I’m looking for spring”, “Selected works” in the genres of poetry and journalism. She also created dozens of other works, singing about feelings such as love and loyalty to the Motherland, high respect for mothers, womankind, incomparable love for the dear homeland with the affection and a burning heart which is a characteristic of Uzbek poets.
Her works have been published in dozens of languages.
Consequently, Aydin Hajiyeva had also translated many well respected poems, written by outstanding artists from all over the world, into the Uzbek language.
As an active member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, she widely promoted the introduction of socio-economic reforms in the country among the population, raised literary processes to a new level, educated young talents, in particular creative girls. She was a true example.
Aydin Hajiyeva was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Poet of Uzbekistan”, “Honor of the Country”, and “For Selfless Services”.
“The memory of Aydin Hajiyeva, the well-known artist, a kind teacher, a sincere and humble person, will always remain in our hearts,” the message said.
