Mirziyoyev held a face-to-face talk with Berdimuhamedov

Today, 21 October, after the official holiday ceremony, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a private meeting.

The state administration discussed the issues of further improvement of bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations to the centuries-old friendship and neighborliness.

Issues of further expansion of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, energy, transport-logistics, agriculture, and water management sectors became the main topic of the negotiations.

It was noted that there were great results in all areas of practical cooperation in the following years.  Agreements that reached the highest level are being successfully implemented based on the "roadmap".

There are regular dialogues and productive exchanges between the governments, ministries and agencies, and regions of the two countries.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that this meeting will give a new impetus to the development of a multifaceted strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Detailed views were exchanged on the international and regional agenda, including the issues of deepening cooperation in Central Asia.
