A new mayor has been appointed for the Kitob district

Rustam Gafurov has been designated as the governor of Kitob district within the Kashkadarya region, as announced by the press service of the regional government.

Today, an extraordinary session of the People's Deputies of the Kitob District Council convened on April 2, during which Rustam Abdirasulovich Gafurov received approval as the Mayor of Kitob District.

Prior to this appointment, he served as the head of the main department for poverty alleviation and employment in the Kashkadarya region.

Rustam Gafurov, born in 1984, is a graduate of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Reclamation, the Karshi Institute of Engineering and Economics, the Banking Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It's worth noting that Murodjon Abdurahimov assumed the position of mayor of Chirchiq city in the Tashkent region on March 15.
