On November 6, a tragic accident occurred at Takhtaqoracha Pass in the Kitab district of the Kashkadarya region, where a large stone struck a Cobalt car traveling along the M-39 Tashkent-Termiz highway. The Kashkadarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs Traffic Safety Service confirmed that three citizens inside the vehicle died instantly.

The accident took place at around 3:45 p.m. near the 1137-kilometer mark of the highway, in the Kaynar village area of Kitab district. The car, moving from Kitab toward Samarkand, was crushed by a rock that fell from a nearby hill, resulting in the tragic loss of all passengers on board.

Following the incident, authorities temporarily restricted traffic through Takhtaqoracha Pass, a vital route connecting the Samarkand and Kashkadarya regions. Emergency response teams worked quickly to clear the road, allowing vehicle movement to resume safely after the initial cleanup.
