A 6-year-old child suffered burn injuries after being accidentally splashed with boiling water by a kindergarten teacher in the Guzar district of Kashkadarya region. The incident took place at the 4th state preschool educational institution, and the child sustained burns to the forehead and left cheekbone. The child's mother reached out to QALAMPIR.UZ to report the incident.

According to available information, the incident occurred on February 6 at around 12:00 while the children were being brought indoors for lunch. During this time, teacher Sh.Yu. and student N.M. reportedly clashed, causing the boiling water to spill on the child. However, the child’s parents were informed of the accident only two hours later, at 14:30.

In response to an inquiry by QALAMPIR.UZ, Dilfuza Sabirova, Head of the Information Service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, stated that first aid was immediately provided by the kindergarten nurse. The child was then taken to the Guzar district emergency medical unit, accompanied by DMTT staff and his father.

According to medical reference No. 554, the child was examined and then left the clinic with his parents. The kindergarten officials covered the medical costs and expressed support for the child’s recovery.

"Currently, sufficient documents are being collected to apply disciplinary measures to the responsible employees of the educational organization who treated their duties with indifference," the statement said.

Authorities have since begun collecting relevant documents to initiate disciplinary measures against those responsible. Kindergarten head Gulnoz Jumaeva confirmed that the educator involved had been issued a “reprimand” for negligence. The child is reportedly in stable condition.

The case is currently under investigation by the Children's Ombudsman, Surayo Rakhmonova, in coordination with the Guzar District Prosecutor's Office and Internal Affairs Directorate. Further details are expected to be announced as the investigation progresses.

It should be noted that a similar tragedy occurred on April 1 in Bukhara, where a 1.5-year-old child died from an electric shock at a kindergarten.
