The Turanian tiger named Khan was chosen as the official mascot of the Futsal World Championship hosted by Uzbekistan, as reported by the International Football Federation (FIFA) on its official website.

According to FIFA, Khan truly represents the unique characteristics of futsal, including its speed and attractive nature, as well as Uzbekistan's local and regional heritage.

"The charming tiger also represents the spirit of the futsal competition, reminding everyone that no matter where you are from or who you are, you have a place on the futsal field and in society. Futsal players from Khan's competition will be inspired by the ability of Turan tigers to hide and appear out of nowhere," the report says.

From September 14 to October 6, three cities in Uzbekistan — Tashkent, Bukhara, and Andijan — will host the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Championship. The 24 strongest national teams in the world will compete for the world championship in futsal, marking the first time this competition is held in Central Asia under FIFA's auspices.

We remind you that the schedule for the matches of the Futsal World Championship has been determined.
