Iran's Persepolis Football Club has lodged a complaint with FIFA against the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), as reported by Aziya-Sport.

According to the source, player Oston Urunov joined the national team without the club's permission and subsequently sustained an injury. The club had requested that the national team refrain from fielding Urunov, but this request was not honored. As a result, Urunov aggravated a pre-existing injury, and the Iranian club is now unable to utilize his services in critical matches.

It is emphasized that if it is determined that the injury occurred during national team matches, the UFA may be liable to compensate Persepolis for the loss of the player.

For context, the 24-year-old Urunov entered the match for the Uzbekistan national team against Iran in the 71st minute but missed the subsequent match against the UAE due to his injury.
