14360FIFA has officially announced the hosts for the upcoming World Cups in 2030 and 2034. The 2030 tournament will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, while Saudi Arabia has been confirmed as the host for the 2034 championship.
The 2030 World Cup will mark a historic milestone as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the first-ever World Cup, held in Uruguay in 1930. To commemorate this centennial, the opening matches will take place in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay before the tournament continues in its main host nations. FIFA’s unanimous approval of this proposal underscores its significance.
Saudi Arabia's hosting of the 2034 World Cup was also unanimously approved during an online meeting chaired by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, with more than 200 member federations participating. Saudi Arabia was the sole bidder for the tournament. As part of its Vision 2030 initiative, the country plans to invest tens of billions of dollars in infrastructure and projects to support the World Cup, aiming to modernize the nation and enhance its global sports presence.
