Employees who committed acts of torture were punished

In the first half of this year, 50 employees working in closed institutions where individuals with limited freedom of movement are kept received reprimands. Two employees were subjected to administrative penalties, and employment contracts with three employees were terminated. This information was reported in the Human Rights Representative's (Ombudsman) report to the Oliy Majlis.
It was reported that during the monitoring of the women's boarding house for persons with disabilities "Muruvvat" in Syrdarya district, the "Muruvvat" boarding house in Kokand, and the men's boarding house for persons with disabilities "Muruvvat" in Andijan district, employment contracts of three employees were terminated, 35 employees were given disciplinary action as a warning, and two employees were subjected to administrative penalties.
Disciplinary measures were also applied to six employees of the Ellikqal’a Dispensary of Mental Disorders No. 2 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Psychiatric Hospital No. 2 in the Fergana region. Additionally, nine employees of internal affairs bodies working in temporary detention centers in the city and district of Kashkadarya region faced disciplinary action. One employee of the Psychoneurology Dispensary in the Andijan region was dismissed.
