He is elected the deputy representative of the Oliy Majlis on Human Rights

The representative of the Oliy Majlis on human rights (ombudsman) was elected as a deputy.  This was reported by the press service of the Legislative Chamber.

It is noted that today, August 15, the deputies considered the issue of electing the deputy representative of the Oliy Majlis on Human Rights.  After discussions, Bekzod Narimonov was elected to this position and the decision was sent to the Senate.

“According to Article 93, Part One, Clause 16 of the Constitution and Article 5 of the Law “On the Human Rights Representative (Ombudsman) of the Supreme Majlis”, Bekzod Narimonov was appointed the Human Rights Representative (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis.  It was recommended to be elected to the position of the leader,” the report said.

For information, Narimonov previously worked as the head of the department of the Tashkent State University of Law, he holds a doctor of philosophy in legal sciences.
