4 months later, Authorities release details on actress Sabrina Jabborova’s accident on Ozoda Nursaidova’s music video set

Earlier, it was reported that actress Sabrina Jabborova was struck by a car during the filming of a music video for the song of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan, Ozoda Nursaidova. Following the incident, Jabborova made a public appeal for assistance. The singer later addressed the situation, offering her explanation.

Ozoda Nursaidova acknowledged the accident, stating that it occurred during the filming of her music video. She emphasized that she was not present on set when the accident happened and only learned about it through a phone call.

“I must clarify the process of filming a music video. The singer is the customer, and the production team is responsible for execution. Each person has their role. Once filming is completed, the video is handed over to the artist. I am not responsible for the safety of anyone involved in the process, whether it is the actress, extras, or technical crew,” Nursaidova explained.

She added that assistance was provided to the injured actress and that she continues to offer support.

“My administrator practically lived at Sabrina’s house for a month, ensuring she received the necessary care. Assistance was provided not only by me but also by the entire film crew. Everyone contributed as much as they could,” said Nursaidova.

The singer also stated that she was unaware of allegations that Jabborova’s operation had been botched, reportedly resulting in one leg becoming shorter than the other.

“In January, we were happy to hear that Sabrina was recovering and even planned to return to filming. There were no complaints about her treatment back then. However, suddenly, this information started spreading rapidly,” Nursaidova noted.

She further hinted that additional factors and parties were involved in the situation, details of which she plans to reveal in a future statement or to the authorities.

“Of course, I deeply regret what happened. It was a tragic incident, and no mother should have to see her child in such a state. I believe justice will be served, and all responsible parties will be held accountable,” she stated.

According to Jabborova’s public appeal, the vehicle’s wheels ran over her twice, causing a fractured pelvis and other severe injuries. She underwent a nine-hour operation, which saved her life. However, she claims that due to a surgical error, her left leg is now seven centimeters longer than her right, leaving her permanently disabled.

Doctors have stated that to restore her mobility, another complex operation would be necessary, which involves breaking and realigning her bones—a procedure rarely successful. Jabborova alleged that the organizers of the filming failed to provide sufficient financial assistance and that only a $500 fine was imposed for “violating technical rules during filming” over four months.

The case has been taken to court, but the trial has not yet begun. The actress further claimed that the investigator has not granted her access to case materials. She now seeks additional medical treatment abroad and has appealed to the public for help.

Shortly after the controversy intensified, the production team behind Ozoda Nursaidova’s music video released a statement. They claimed that Jabborova and her family had demanded a house and a car as compensation from them.

For four months, the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate remained silent on the matter. However, following widespread public discussion, they issued an official statement regarding the accident. According to authorities, the incident occurred on November 7, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m. in a parking lot on Yangi O‘zbekiston Street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district. A minor, S.P., born in 2008, was reportedly driving a Mercedes-Benz and struck two pedestrians—J.S. (born in 2003) and Sh.E. (born in 2006).

Both victims were taken to the hospital. A forensic medical examination classified Sh.E.’s injuries as minor, while J.S. (Jabborova) suffered severe injuries. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which pertains to “Violation of the rules for the movement or safety of vehicles.”
