Ozoda Nursaidova’s music video controversy: What really happened?

In the last ten days of March, during the filming of a music video for a song by Ozoda Nursaidova, a well-known artist in Uzbekistan, actress Sabrina Jabborova was struck by a "Gelik" (Mercedes-Benz G-Class). QALAMPIR.UZ closely followed the developments and reported all the details.

On the same day that Sabrina Jabborova posted a video asking for help, the editorial team attempted to contact her to obtain full information about the incident. However, the actress did not respond to calls from multiple numbers or text messages.

The actress revealed the incident on March 11 through a video on her social media page. According to her, another underage actress participating in the music video was behind the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class under the instructions of cameraman and director Shuhrat Mavlonov. However, she lost control of the vehicle, and the car ran over Sabrina twice. The front wheel completely ran over her, while the rear wheel spun over her body. As a result, Sabrina suffered a fractured pelvis and severe injuries to other organs.

After widespread public discussion, the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department officially commented on the traffic accident on March 11, despite the incident having occurred on November 7, 2024.

“On November 7, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., in one of the parking lots on "Yangi O‘zbekiston" Street in Mirzo Ulugbek District, a minor driver, S.P., born in 2008, was operating a Mercedes-Benz vehicle and struck two pedestrians (J.S., born in 2003, and Sh.E., born in 2006),” the official report states.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Violation of the rules for the safe movement or use of vehicles").

Regardless of the circumstances, the fact that a young woman suffered such injuries is a tragedy. The investigation is ongoing, and accountability will be determined once the legal process is complete.
