Additional information provided on 14-year-old “night butterfly” detained in Khorezm

28378Earlier, it was revealed that the head of one of the nightclubs in the city of Urgench, Khorezm region, was allowing a 14-year-old minor girl to dance in the club. The Khorezm regional Department of Preschool and School Education provided additional information on this case.
It was noted that on April 16 of this year, a minor girl born in 2011, living in the city of Urgench, was found dancing in a nightclub and was placed in the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors by representatives of the relevant organization.
When this case was investigated in cooperation with representatives of authorized organizations, it was revealed that the girl, studying in the 7th grade of secondary school No. 8 in Urgench city, was expelled from the school on November 24, 2024, based on her parents' application. This decision was made by the Urgench City Commission for Children's Affairs of the Khorezm region under decision No. 162, with the school order dated December 3, 2024.
It was found that the minor girl left for St. Petersburg, Russia, in December 2024, to live permanently with her parents. She had issued the necessary documents in accordance with the current procedure and returned to Uzbekistan in February of this year. However, neither her parents nor the relevant organizations informed the school about her return. This student is currently not registered in any school register in the region.
It is noted that work is ongoing to study this case in cooperation with relevant organizations.
Additionally, it should be noted that on February 7 of this year, large-scale operational and preventive measures named "Oriat" were held throughout Uzbekistan. During the event, efforts were made to identify crimes against morality and health, and to prevent the spread of HIV (AIDS) and other infectious, skin, and venereal diseases. Activities were carried out in saunas, SPA salons, massage parlors, karaoke bars, hotels, hostels, nightclubs, and other public places. A total of 340 objects were inspected, explanatory work was carried out with 2,957 persons who may pose a threat to public health, and mobile medical examinations were conducted, with appropriate medical reports obtained.
