Large quantities of narcotic substances were seized during operations carried out in Fergana and Khorezm regions. The State Security Service reported this.

According to the report, during an operation conducted in Buvayda district by the Fergana regional department of the State Security Service in cooperation with internal affairs bodies, a Cobalt car traveling on the Margilan-Buvayda route was stopped and inspected in the presence of witnesses. It was found that a passenger in the vehicle, a resident of Qoshtepa district, was carrying 1 kilogram and 187 grams of hashish, which was seized as physical evidence.

During another operation in Urgench, conducted by the Khorezm regional department of the State Security Service in cooperation with internal affairs and customs authorities, a total of 620 grams of hashish and 297 grams of mephedrone were seized as physical evidence from a previously convicted person and from his temporary residence.

It was established that the narcotic substances had been smuggled in from the Russian Federation.

Criminal cases have been opened against the offenders in both cases, and investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, it was reported that nearly 3 kilograms of hashish had been seized during operations in Samarkand region.
