Earlier, it was reported that actress Sabrina Jabborova was run over by a car during the filming of a music video for a song by Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Ozoda Nursaidova. Following the incident, she posted a message asking for help. After the incident sparked considerable public discussion, the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs issued an official statement on March 11, 2025, about the traffic accident that occurred on November 7, 2024.
“On November 7, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., in one of the parking lots located on Yangi Uzbek Street, Mirzo Ulugbek District, a minor, S.P., born in 2008, was driving a Mercedes-Benz car and hit two pedestrians (J.S., born in 2003, and Sh.E., born in 2006),” the official report states.
The victims were reportedly taken to the hospital. According to the forensic medical examination, the condition of citizen Sh.E. was assessed as a minor injury, while citizen J.S. sustained “serious” injuries.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“Violation of the rules for the safety of movement or use of vehicles”).
“Preliminary investigative actions have now been completed, and measures are being taken to refer the case to court in accordance with the appropriate procedure,” the report continued.
It is important to note that it has been four months since this tragic road accident occurred, and neither the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs nor the Tashkent State Road Safety Administration provided any public information about it, effectively concealing the incident. The Department of Internal Affairs only released official details after the victim's plea for help generated significant online discussion.
The victim, actress Sabrina Jabborova, stated that the wheels of the car ran over her twice, causing a broken pelvis and other serious internal injuries. According to reports, after a nine-hour operation, her life was saved, but due to an incorrect surgical procedure, her left leg ended up 7 cm longer than her right leg, leaving her with a disability.
Doctors have stated that, in order to restore her health, it will be necessary to break her pelvis and realign the bones. However, such procedures rarely succeed. She also mentioned that the film's organizers and other responsible parties did not provide her with sufficient assistance. She only received $500 as compensation for the “violation of technical rules during the filming,” despite the fact that four months had passed since the accident.
The case has been transferred to court, but the trial has not yet started. The actress reported that the investigator did not provide her with the case materials. She also indicated that she would need to undergo another operation abroad to regain her ability to walk and appealed to the public for help.
Shortly after the victim’s appeal, the creative team behind Ozoda Nursaidova’s music video commented on the situation, claiming that the actress and her relatives are demanding a house and a car from them.
