16 million soums will be disbursed to the unemployed individual

In the Namangan region, despite a court ruling, a citizen remained unemployed, as reported by the press service of the Oliy Majlis Human Rights Representative (ombudsman).

According to reports, a resident of the Namangan region was mandated employment through a court decree, yet the implementation of this decision was lacking. Subsequently, the individual sought assistance from the ombudsman.

The ombudsman confirmed the receipt of the complaint and escalated it to the appropriate authorities. Consequently, the citizen secured a position as a chief specialist at the "Inson" social services center in the Uychi district starting January 2024.

Furthermore, it was determined that the citizen is entitled to receive 16 million soums for the four months of involuntary unemployment. Presently, 6 million soums have been disbursed from this sum, with the Namangan regional Ombudsman's representative tasked with retrieving the remaining amount.

It is worth noting that as of January 2024, the number of unemployed individuals in Uzbekistan stood at 1,300,000.
