Namangan school official fired for workplace gambling

The principal of a school in the Chortoq district of Namangan region was dismissed after being caught gambling in his office. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Preschool and School Education of the Namangan region.

On December 17, a raid conducted by officers from the Chortoq District Internal Affairs Bureau revealed that the director of the 8th General Secondary School had organized and participated in a gambling game in his office with partners.

Following the discovery, the school director's employment contract was unilaterally terminated by the employer for gross violation of internal labor rules established at the institution. The District Internal Affairs Bureau is currently investigating the incident.

It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred earlier in the Fergana district of the Fergana region, where a person was arrested for running an illegal casino in their home.
