A tour company in the Namangan region has been fined for organizing “Umra” trips without the necessary license. The Committee for Religious Affairs confirmed the penalty.
Following an investigation, the Committee imposed a financial fine on “Zaytun Turizim” LLC, based in Namangan city, for arranging an “Umra” trip without the proper authorization.
The fine, which is 200 times the minimum wage (equivalent to 75 million sums), was imposed on the company for failing to secure the required license for organizing “Umra” events.
The Committee for Religious Affairs has urged pilgrims to exercise caution when selecting travel services for “Umra” and recommended using licensed and trustworthy providers to ensure a safe and proper pilgrimage experience.
It is worth noting that similar attempts to illegally send citizens to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage were previously uncovered in three regions of Uzbekistan.
