Due to the onset of the summer season, the air temperature in Tashkent is expected to rise significantly. As a result, the temperature of the surface railway tracks and their steel components will also increase, potentially reaching temperatures exceeding 70 degrees Celsius.
According to railway regulations, when the rail temperature exceeds 55 degrees, train speeds must be reduced. Specifically, train speeds should not exceed 40 km/h when the rail temperature is between 55 and 60 degrees. Additionally, speeds should not exceed 25 km/h when the rail temperature reaches 65 degrees. Movement of trains is prohibited when the temperature surpasses 70 degrees.
In light of these guidelines and in order to ensure the safety of both trains and passengers, a temporary speed restriction will be implemented on the underground ring road and Sergeli road sections of the metro during periods of elevated air temperature.
