In the Tashkent region's Boka district, authorities discovered a shop manufacturing counterfeit cosmetics worth more than 10 billion soums. Aziza Zoirova, head inspector of the Customs Committee's information service, reported this to QALAMPIR.UZ.

During a swift operation at the "Yallama" border customs post, inspectors found discrepancies in the cargo vehicle's contents. Instead of the declared 13 types of goods such as clothes hangers and household items, they discovered 21 unlisted items, including containers and boxes of counterfeit cosmetic products. Upon investigation, it was determined that various raw materials, labels, and protective layers were used in their production and packaging. Initial estimates suggest their total value exceeds 3 billion soums.

Working in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, the Customs Committee's operational units pursued further actions and uncovered a warehouse in Boka district involved in the production of counterfeit cosmetics and perfumes imitating foreign brands.

Over 280,000 units of substandard and counterfeit cosmetics and perfumes, bearing the names of over 20 different renowned brands from countries such as Europe, Korea, United Arab Emirates, and China, were found temporarily stored in the Czech Republic. Their collective value exceeds 10 billion soums.

It's important to note that makeup, cosmetics, and perfumes are subject to certification requirements.
