Kashkadarya driver breaks traffic police car window, faces jail time

A driver who broke the windows of a road patrol vehicle in Shahrisabz, Kashkadarya region, has been sentenced to seven days of administrative detention, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Driver arrested for hitting traffic police officer in Samarkand

The incident occurred on February 9 at 19:30 in the “Buston” neighborhood, where road patrol inspectors were performing their duties in a Lacetti patrol car. A citizen from the “Uymovit” neighborhood had parked his motor vehicle in a prohibited area, prompting the officers to issue a report under Article 128⁶ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

However, the driver reacted aggressively, retrieved a shovel from his trunk, and used it to damage the police vehicle. Following an investigation, the case was forwarded to the Shahrisabz City Court for Criminal Cases, which sentenced the driver to seven days of administrative detention.

This is not the first case of aggression against traffic police officers. Previously, in the Akdaryo district of the Samarkand region, a Cobalt driver refused to obey traffic police orders and dragged an officer by the car door.
