“Houses are in ruins, without an earthquake.”  It was said that some new houses in Kashkadarya are on the verge of collapse

A video that circulated on social networks states that the model houses which were built and handed over to residents in the village of Rus, Kitab district, Kashkadarya region, are on the verge of collapse.  It was reported that these apartments were given for a period of 20 years in return for a mortgage loan.  However, less than 5 years after it was transferred to residents, the houses have fallen into disrepair.

“The foundations of the houses have shifted and the walls have cracked.  As a result, the doors and windows can not be closed.  The plates moved, and you can easily see other rooms through the cracks in the wall.  The electric wires were also cut off due to the movement of the wall,” said one of the owners of a house.

According to the video, the walls were cracked both externally and internally.  As a result, you can easily see a person in another room through a crack in the wall.

“Living in a house that may collapse sooner, or later is like accepting death and accepting fate.  “Many houses here are in the same condition,” said the author of the video.

The video has sparked heated discussions on social networks, and users who are angry about this situation have said that those who built these houses should be severely punished.

“The builder who built these houses should move into this house and live here as a family.  That’s when Johny will realize how sweet he has it,” said a network user.

Other comments suggested that those responsible for this case should be imprisoned.

Another commenter said, “May these newly built and under-construction houses have a happy ending.  “Separate expert commissions should be formed, and the technical condition of the houses built in the last 10 years should be studied based on the appeal of the population, and if the expert’s opinion does not meet the requirements, the obligation to build new houses by the responsible construction organizations should be introduced for the owners of these houses,”

There were also those who quipped, “If the condition of model houses is like this, what is the condition of non-model houses?”, “Our houses won't need an earthquake to be destroyed.”

Despite the fact that the video provoked wide discussions, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Affairs has not yet given an official response to the situation.
