In the first half of 2024, fines totaling 957 million soums were imposed on 298 individuals for violating hunting and fishing regulations. This information was reported by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change.

It was noted that during the conducted raids, it became apparent that the divisions of the "Uzbekistan Hunters and Fishermen's Sports Association" in Andijan, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Surkhandarya, and Khorezm regions did not control the complete return of hunting permits. As a result, hunters did not return a total of 9,690 hunting permits for 2020-2022, contrary to the requirements of Article 29 of the Law on Hunting and Hunting. This created conditions for the repeated use of hunting permits and illegal hunting.

When the Ministry of Ecology examined the activities of the association's Syrdarya region branch, based on numerous appeals from citizens, it was found that the hunting farm's contract for providing hunting grounds had expired on December 31, 2022. Despite this, the farm sold illegal tickets for hunting 25,000 head of animals in 2023.

Additionally, contrary to the requirements of Article 23 of the Law "On Hunting and Hunting," in 20 instances, 49 wild birds were hunted by hunters during prohibited periods, based on permits sold by this farm.

Consequently, in the first and second quarters of 2024, fines totaling 957 million soums were imposed on 298 individuals in 287 cases related to violations of hunting and fishing regulations. For comparison, during control activities in 2023, a total of 997 cases of hunting and fishing rule violations were detected across the republic, resulting in 1.7 billion soums in fines against 995 individuals.
