8968During a raid in Navbahor district of Navoi region, three citizens were found to have caught illegal fish in the Zarafshan river using electric fishing rods. This was reported by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.
It was reported that the situation was observed today, September 30, on the banks of the Zarafshan river flowing through the territory of the "Qarovultepa" neighborhood. During the raid, it was found that citizens living in Toshrabot village of Kiziltepa district - G.Sh., O.M. and A.Z. Illegally caught fish in the Zarafshon River using an electric fishing rod.
The offenders hunted a total of 26 white carp, 8 white carp, 6 pike, 32 zogora, 32 lakka, 249 Samarkand bream and 46 Turkestan whiskered fish included in the Red Book of Uzbekistan. As a result, 6 billion 324 million sums were damaged to nature.
In relation to the situation, an administrative report was drawn up against them with Article 90 (Violation of hunting and fishing rules, as well as other types of animal use) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and legal assessment of the situation was sent to the regional prosecutor's office for issuing and taking action.
It should be noted that earlier in Syrdarya region, people who caught illegal fish were fined. During the raid, it was found that the citizen caught 27 fish of 4 types from the ditch flowing through the district, violating the rules of hunting, of which 9 fish were larger than the norm (5 kg). As a result, the animal world was damaged in the amount of 14 million 960 thousand sums.
