Two ministers of Uzbekistan also receive awards

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a decree awarding a group of employees in science, education, healthcare, literature, culture, art, and mass media.

According to the decree, Sharipov Kungirotboy Avezimbetovich, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, was awarded the Order of "Friendship." Additionally, Ikromov Adham Ilhomovich, Minister of Sports, received the honorary title of Health Care Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

For context, Adham Ikromov, a doctor by profession, was appointed Minister of Sports on December 30, 2022. He previously served as Minister of Health from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2016 to 2017. Kungirotboy Sharipov began his Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation tenure on February 2, 2024.

Earlier reports noted that famous pop singer Sevara Nazarkhan received the title of People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Ozoda Nursaidova was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan.
