Graduates from the 1st General Education School named after Mirzo Ulugbek, established by the government of Uzbekistan in the city of Fuzuli, Karabakh, are admitted to higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan without an examination. This announcement was made by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kungirotboy Sharipov.

According to the minister, who familiarized himself with the conditions at the school and met with its teachers and students, teachers from Uzbekistan will also be teaching at this school, and the cooperation will be further expanded in the future.

"I am very pleased that our Azerbaijani children, who have graduated from this school, will carry school certificates bearing the name of Mirzo Ulugbek. The children who graduated from this school are considered our own. Therefore, they are admitted to Uzbekistan's higher educational institutions without an examination," said Kungirotboy Sharipov.

It is worth noting that in April 2021, it was reported that Uzbekistan would build a school as a gift to Azerbaijan in Karabakh, which had been liberated from occupation. Two years later, on August 23, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, inaugurated the Mirzo Ulugbek School in Karabakh.
