5899Earlier, it was reported that Nodir Ganiyev, who was serving as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Sweden, was dismissed from his post. He has now been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to France. This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.
It is reported that the newly appointed ambassador, Nodir Ganiyev, has arrived in the capital of France. He succeeded Sardor Rustamboyev, who led the country's embassy in Paris from 2018 to 2023 and was recently appointed ambassador to India.
It should be noted that in 2022, when the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan was established in Stockholm, becoming the country's 36th embassy abroad, Nodir Ganiyev was appointed as the Chargé d'affaires of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Sweden. In 2023, Ganiyev began his role as the first Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden. In November of that year, he presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden in Stockholm.
For information, the 53-year-old diplomat graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). Since 1994, he has been working within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding various positions in the central apparatus and diplomatic missions abroad.
Before Ganiyev left for Sweden, he served as the head of the Department of Cooperation with European States and EU Institutions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is proficient in English, Arabic, Russian, and French.
