It has been revealed that citizens of Uzbekistan predominantly choose the Republic of Tajikistan for their studies. This was reported by the press service of the Statistics Agency.
From January to July 2024, a total of 21,700 Uzbek citizens went abroad for educational purposes.
Here is the breakdown of the countries where Uzbeks went to study:
- Tajikistan – 10,497 people
- Russia – 3,891 people
- Kyrgyz Republic – 2,211 people
- Turkey – 1,240 people
- South Korea – 1,063 people
- Kazakhstan – 874 people
- Great Britain – 423 people
- China – 337 people
- Germany – 209 people
- USA – 192 people
- Other countries – 720 people
Earlier reports indicated that Uzbek citizens primarily visit Kyrgyzstan for tourist purposes.
