Where do the most tourists come from to Uzbekistan?

13784In the first half of this year, it became evident that the majority of tourists visiting Uzbekistan were from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This was reported by the statistical agency.
From January to July 2024, a total of 4.24 million foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan for tourist purposes. This figure represents an increase of 562,500 or 15.3% compared to the same period last year.
The breakdown of foreign nationals visiting Uzbekistan for tourism is as follows:
- Kyrgyzstan: 1.2 million
- Tajikistan: 1.2 million
- Kazakhstan: 845,800
- Russia: 442,100
- Turkmenistan: 83,700
- Turkey: 62,000
- China: 35,500
- India: 33,300
- South Korea: 23,900
- Italy: 19,500
- Other countries: 211,200
Earlier reports indicated that Turkmen citizens previously comprised the largest group of visitors to Uzbekistan.
