As of today, 114,505 students in Uzbekistan are officially employed, according to the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment.
The data shows that 62,691 students (54.7%) are employed by state organizations, 47,878 students (41.8%) work in private entities, and 3,936 students (3.5%) are employed in both sectors. Gender-wise, 67,099 (58.6%) of these students are male, while 47,406 (41.4%) are female.
In terms of regional distribution, the numbers are as follows:
- Tashkent city: 36,135 students (31.6%)
- Samarkand region: 9,931 students (8.7%)
- Fergana region: 9,779 students (8.5%)
- Tashkent region: 8,927 students (7.8%)
- Kashkadarya region: 8,202 students (7.1%)
